of male Veterans experience ED. (appx)
Help more than 1 Million California Veterans Receive the Benefits They've Earned
Together, CACVSO and Eddie® are educating County Veterans Service Officers and Representatives about the significant prevalence of ED (appx 90% of male veterans), its causes and contributing factors, and the associated SMC-K benefits these Veterans are entitled to.
Additionally, ED is the largest connection between service-connected and non-service-connected conditions, allowing VSOs to help secure additional benefits and coverage for Veterans.
Accompanying this statewide education is a $1,000 Scholarship granted to those who complete the education course on ED and SMC-K. Register below to find out about the next education event taking place in your county.

Why This Matters
ED is the most under diagnosed and under treated condition affecting Veterans.
ED is closely linked with chronic disease, medication side effects, mental health conditions, and lifestyle choices.
More than 200 diseases and disorders and 300 medications contribute to ED. ED often serves as the bridge between service-connected and non-service-connected conditions. SMC-K gives VSOs another way to connect the dots, helping more Veterans qualify for the secondary service-connected benefits they’ve earned.
Educating VSOs is the first step to identifying ED in Veterans and directing them to appropriate treatment, improved quality of life, and additional VA benefits.
